A mouth watering menu of food related activities and
events have been carefully prepared by Flavour of Tyrone’s
Good Food Circle and Killybegs Tourism in Donegal, for 2007.
For
starters, the groups will present a ‘Top and
Tail’ edition of the highly successful ‘Little Black
Recipe Book’. This new edition will feature a variety
of classic but simple to prepare recipes of starters and desserts
using the quality local produce that both regions of Tyrone
and Donegal have to offer. This version will build on the success
of the 2006 main course edition of ‘The Little Black Recipe
Book’ which has been described as “a tribute to
Tyrone and Donegal cuisine” and is now downloadable from
www.tyronegoodfoodcircle.com
and www.killybegs.ie.
Moving on to the main courses of events, the
Tyrone Good Food Circle, invites you to a day out with a difference
at Dungannon Park on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May, when South
Tyrone’s first food and drink festival takes place from
11am-5pm. The event will showcase local gourmet produce from
all over Ireland, tasty food demonstrations from some of Northern
Ireland’s top chefs, wine tasting, as well as a summer
barbecue, medieval village and children’s entertainment.

feast of fresh fish, oysters and shellfish culminating with
the Grande Finale Seafood Banquet, guaranteeing to titillate
your taste buds accompanied with first-class entertainment.
Music played in all bars. Events include seafood cookery exhibitions,

attractions and heritage sites from the South West of Donegal
to Tyrone. This will ensure that no matter where you are in
Tyrone or its neighbouring County, you will always be able to
find fine food and drink at one of the many recommended hotels,
restaurants and eateries featured on the trail.

to attend one of the Shared Knowledge Workshops. These events
